Jordan Escobar, Varsity Head Coach
Jordan Escobar is entering his third season as the varsity boys soccer coach at Armstrong High School, bringing over a decade of coaching experience and a strong track record of program growth. In his first two seasons, Armstrong compiled an 18-14-3 record and reached the section final for the first time in 16 years, marking a significant step forward for the program.
Under Jordan’s leadership, Armstrong has produced three First Team All State players in two seasons, including the 2025 Class AAA Mr. Soccer winner, who was also named an All American. These individual achievements reflect both the development environment within the program and the trust placed in players to express themselves at the highest level.
Jordan also serves as Director of Coaching for United FC Rush in St. Michael and Albertville, where he helps guide player and coach development across the club. His coaching approach places a strong emphasis on technical ability and tactical understanding of the game, and he is known for being tactically flexible in order to maximize the strengths of his players. He prioritizes strong relationships with his athletes, supporting them not only on the field but also through college placement and life beyond soccer.
The Armstrong program now includes an offseason weight training program and a renewed focus on fitness, intensity, and competitive standards. Jordan’s coaching foundations center on competitiveness, hard work, technical excellence, tactical acumen, intensity, fitness, poise, and fun. He believes soccer is a powerful tool to teach life lessons and is intentional about helping young men grow in confidence, accountability, and character.
A devoted husband and father of four boys, Jordan values family and community. At Armstrong, he continues to build a culture rooted in trust, accountability, and belief, while pushing the program forward with purpose and pride.

Chad Neumann, Varsity Assistant Head Coach, Goalkeeper Coach
Chad Neumann is entering his second season as a varsity assistant coach at Armstrong High School and brings 12 years of coaching experience to the program. He also coaches with United FC Rush, where he works closely with players on technical development and game understanding.
A graduate of Prior Lake High School, Chad has more than 40 years of playing experience. He was a three year Olympic Development Program player and competed collegiately at Oakland University at the NCAA Division II level and Concordia St. Paul in the NAIA. He also played for the St. Paul Blackhawks at the U19, U23, and men’s amateur first and second division levels, as well as Acme FC in the MRSL.
Originally a goalkeeper through college, Chad has played full seasons at nearly every position on the field, giving him a complete understanding of the game from multiple perspectives. His coaching philosophy centers on simplicity, believing that efficiency and clarity on and off the ball create the foundation for effective and intelligent play.
Off the field, Chad works as the Director of Sales and Distribution at Utepils Brewing Company. He is passionate about player development and values building confident, disciplined, and well rounded athletes.

Josh Kizilos, Junior Varsity Head Coach
Josh Kizilos is entering his second season as the Armstrong JV coach. Josh is a dedicated soccer coach with 4 years of coaching experience at Fusion SC, where he has coached players across a range of age groups and skill levels. He holds a U.S. Soccer D License, reflecting his commitment to continuous learning and development in the coaching profession.
Josh played high school soccer at Minnetonka High School. Josh then went on to captain the Minnesota-Duluth Men’s club soccer team in college before moving into a coaching position.
Josh’s coaching philosophy centers around the holistic development of his players—focusing not only on technical and tactical growth but also on personal character, leadership, and teamwork. He believes that soccer is a powerful tool for teaching life skills and building resilience, and he works to create an environment where players are encouraged to challenge themselves, learn from mistakes, and support one another.
His goal is to help each player grow both on and off the field, instilling confidence, discipline, and a lifelong love for the game.

Brady Miller, B Squad Head Coach
Brady Miller is entering his third year as the B Squad coach at Armstrong High School. With a lifelong passion for the game and extensive playing experience, Brady brings energy, knowledge, and a deep appreciation for what soccer means to student-athletes.
He remains committed to fostering growth, development, and a love for the game in every player he works with. Brady is excited for the upcoming season and proud to continue being part of the Armstrong soccer community.
